From Heaven to Hell: Air, Surface, & Subsurface Rights (24/25)


Description
In NC, it's assumed that when you own property, you have all the air, surface, and subsurface rights associated with your lot. But that's not always true. Real estate ownership can be split and sold, leased, assigned and purchased. Sometimes air and subsurface rights are more valuable than the land below or above them.

Fracking is also discussed in this course, and students get to watch some exciting film clips.

This course was recognized as NC Real Estate Education Program of the Year by the NC Real Estate Educators Association.
